Heathers: The Musical (Amazon Prime Video)

Based on the cult classic from 1989, originally starring; Winona Ryder and Cristian Slater – this musical comes to London “The Other Palace” and available to view to Amazon Prime Video subscribers.

Over the past year or so, I have slowly been finding a new interest in west end musicals, and have always wanted to see this musical live, however, right now in my life it is difficult to attend popular west end musicals in London, until I move to be closer to London later this year. I am, however, glad this one has been recorded for Amazon Prime Video for people who are unable to attend the live showing of this.

Heathers The Musical is a dark comedy which focuses on the social hierarchy at Westerberg High School where students are tormented by jocks and the school is ruled by a girl named Heather McNamara. The musical explores themes of teenage life, bullying, love, popularity, suicide and also school violence.

The music within this showing on Amazon Prime Video is great, as-well as the wardrobe dressings, the casting, and the makeup.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, and do recommend giving this a watch. It is available free to view under Amazon Prime Video subscription for a limited time (unsure when this becomes an added purchase though!).

I rate this musical a 4 star rating.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I have not given this a 5 star due to the adverts in between this showing, which I blame Amazon Prime Video for, as I felt immersed in the musical and felt I had been part of the audience and then BAM! an advert slaps me in the face.

I still recommend this to anyone who likes musicals and wants to see Heathers.

Facebook fan page

Hi guys,

I am without a laptop for a while (it had accidental water damage – blame my clumsy (but wonderful) boyfriend for that.

I do not know when I will have my laptop back as I found it easier to write reviews via my laptop.

For now, I will try my best to update where I can but I’ve created a Facebook fan page where I will regularly update until I can get back into reviewing movies (I have a list of movies and tv shows to review, which I cannot wait to share!)

For now, please follow and share your thoughts on my Facebook page which I have created;

Thanks for the constant support and see you on the Facebook page!
