I, Frankenstein (2014)

Director: Stuart Beattie

Written by: Stuart Beattie, Kevin Grevioux, Mary Shelley.

Starring: Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighly, Miranda Otto, Virgine Le Brun, and many other cast members who are not main casting.

In day ten of the Netflix Horror Calendar Month this film was the one to watch today.

The story of the film is about Frankenstein’s creature finds himself caught in a centuries old war between two immortal clans.

Upon seeing this as the next film to watch, I was unsure what my feelings were towards watching it, but I did and was surprised as how I did enjoy this film better than I first thought, especially as I noticed such bad critic reviews this film had received at the time of release.

I did enjoy this film, the action, the makeup effects, visual effects, and the demons, gargoyles and other monster characters were great! The directing of this film was also better than I expected, and I was pleasantly surprised.

If you like scary movie characters such as Frankenstein, then this is the film for you and is a great twist to the classic tale of Frankenstein.

It definitely does not deserve the negative reviews it received, as it is a good horror film to watch, particularly on Halloween night!!

I rate this film 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5.
