A post-apocalyptic world where a family is living in complete silence away from monsters who are blind and can only track “prey” by ultra-sensitive sound, where all it takes is one sound and everything can go wrong!
Upon the anticipated release of A Quiet Place 2, I decided to give this film another go, as I did start to watch it when it was free on Amazon Prime Video a while ago, but had issues at the time with the playback and forgot all about it! I have managed to watch the film and I enjoyed it! The monsters in the film reminded me a lot of the demogorgons in Stranger Things, and I love that show so obviously I would enjoy this film due to similarities!
The film had me on edge from start to finish, the writing and directing of this film was excellent, and although the majority of the film is silent, it still had me on the edge of my seat throughout!
Emily Blunt is excellent in this film, and there is no doubt about John Krasinski, both amazing at acting, and this film shows that, performances pushed the audience to have created fear, anxiety, and glued to the film for the duration.
I can completely understand and see why there has been so much excitement and obsession around this film, and why A Quiet Place 2 is highly anticipated, too!
I for one am excited to watch the second film to this, and as soon as I have I shall be sharing my views on it, with you all, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
If you haven’t watched this film yet, then I highly recommend you do, it is available on Amazon Prime Video for rent at only £3.49!
I rate this film 5 stars!
