A black and white film that is available to stream on Netflix, about a director and his girlfriend and their relationship is tested after they return home from his movie premiere and await critics’ responses. The evening takes a turn when issues surrounding their relationship begin to surface, testing strength and love between them.

Upon waiting for this to drop on Netflix I am unsure how I feel overall with this film, I enjoy black and white type films in our modern-day but I felt this film was not enjoyable to watch. It was heavy, and I felt as if I were intruding on a couple fighting after being invited over for a few drinks after an evening event. I eventually watched it through to the end, took me a day or so as I kept turning it off for a short while because of the arguing within this film, and the way things are in my life at the moment, it was rather difficult to watch.

However, the stars of the film did a good job at portraying a couple with many issues that need addressing and when a couple fights like this it is showing the relationship at the worst stage, but Zendaya and Washington performed the characters; Malcolm and Marie, very well, helping me to eventually finish the film.

If you are wanting to watch this, it is available to stream now on Netflix.

I give this film a 3-star rating!

Rating: 3 out of 5.
