I have always, ALWAYS, wanted to watch the West End production of Wicked! and despite years of wanting to, I still am awaiting a time I can actually buy tickets and attend. With my life being hectic at the moment, after moving to Lincolnshire, I am hoping I will be able to finally see the West End production due to being under an hour away from London by train.

When this film was announced, I couldn’t wait for it to be released in the cinema. When it was released it was in the time frame of me and my partner moving, so again, I didn’t have the opportunity to see this film on the big screen – however – when we did move and settled into our new home, I finally had time to sit down and watch this film! And I LOVED IT!

From the moment the film started with the opening credits, I absolutely loved it! I must admit, I’m not a huge fan of Ariana Grande, but even her acting surprised me. The singing was terrific, the music, the casting, everything involved was great! I’m really excited for the second part later this year – hopefully, I’ll have had a chance to see the West End by then!

My partner sat and watched the majority of the film, and he is never a fan of musicals, but even he said it was a good film and he enjoyed the musical numbers, too. Definitely the best film of the year 2024.

I would highly recommend this film to anyone who has yet to watch it. Whether you’re a fan of musicals or not, you’ll enjoy this film! Ariana Grande steals the show, even though I’m not a massive fan of hers; she does a great job, and her voice is amazing! I also loved watching Jeff Goldblum in The Wizard of Oz; he was great in his character, and I enjoyed his performances in films/TV shows.

I rate this film 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Here is the trailer for anyone who still hasn’t seen the trailer or the film.
