Shang-Chi is the master of unarmed, weaponry-based Kung-Fu. Still, he finds himself drawn into confronting his past when he is falsely recruited by the Ten Rings organization to save his family and uncover his ancestral history.
It is a fresh and unique film in the Marvel Universe, and after watching it, I found that I really enjoyed it.
I admit, I had no idea what to really expect from Shang-Chi, as there was no concept or background information regarding the character before the film’s release, so I was unsure what to expect. However, I found myself completely immersed in the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Without giving too much away, there is a character in this film who bears a resemblance to another Marvel Character. Still, without giving away who that is, you will need to watch the movie to know about this crucial bit of information, alongside a few favourable characters towards the end of the film, too.

As Shang-Chi is part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can expect to see more of him in the future, and this film is certainly one to enjoy and watch! The visual effects are awe-inspiring, and the action scenes keep you engaged and entertained.
I feel there may have been a few gaps in his story, but now that Marvel has introduced him as a new MCU superhero, I am sure there is a lot more to come regarding Shang-Chi and his life, for us to learn about.
After seeing this film, I am already excited about what’s next for this character and his next adventure, now that he is part of the MCU, among the best who have survived Thanos.
The post-credit scene has me super excited for what’s next in this phase of the Marvel universe!
Welcome to the Marvel Universe, Shang-Chi.
I rate this film 4 stars
