After my first few experiences meeting people “from TV” as I naively referred to meeting people, when I was in my early 20s, I decided I wanted to move to London to study at University, and try and meet more people, whilst living in London.
After settling into my new digs in London, I met a few people amongst my increased interest in meeting stars, which started with attending free shows at ITV towers in Waterloo and going to Radio One just off Oxford Street to meet musicians who may have been attending radio shows or live lounge appearances.
One day, in 2013, I went to ITV towers. I went to try and meet someone who was a guest on The Jonathan Ross Show but, even to this day, I cannot remember who it was. Still, I ended up getting the chance to meet a few other people, such as Bruno Mars and seeing Graham Norton arrive at the studios with his beautiful dogs. Whilst I sat waiting, with a few other people, Jack Whitehall appeared at the building, and much to my shock, I was not expecting to have met him.
He came over to meet us, as there were a few of us waiting around, and I honestly couldn’t believe it, after seeing him in Bad Education I was happy to have met him and randomly too.
Since this moment I ended up meeting Jack regularly, where I applied to get free tickets to his BBC show with his dad: Backchat. Where you can see me sitting in the back of Jack on a few of the shows, particularly the one where McBusted were guests on the show (as my uni flatmate and I wanted to meet them after but only met James and Dougie).

After this, as it was after my first encounter with meeting Jack, I never had another opportunity until his tour a few years later, and by this point, I’ve had a lot happen in my life with a family bereavement, and changing universities from London to Bournemouth, and some personal issues of my own.
During my time in Bournemouth, I already had experience in meeting a fair few celebrities however I was excited to see Jack again and went to see his show at the BIC in Bournemouth, and met him before the show when he arrived, and then again after the show. He said he would be in Plymouth in a week so, obviously, I was going to go and meet him. When I mentioned that’s near where I live, I planned to go home for the time and travel to Plymouth to meet Jack again at the arena and get a video for my friend Laura.
When I said this, I am unsure whether Jack thought I had been joking, but I think he did as he was surprised to see me in Plymouth and when I was stood talking to Paul, his driver, I saw Jack stood at the side of the car with his arms out waiting for a hug from me.
After this, as I was not driving at this time, I had to wait until I had an opportunity to see Jack again which I did on his tour at the end of 2019 and start of 2020, where now I am driving, had the chance to see him a few times during his Stood Up Tour. I went to Plymouth, Bournemouth, Cardiff, then Christmas holidays happened, and then again to Cardiff at the start of 2020.
I am yet to have my next opportunity to meet Jack again, but as Corona Virus has impacted a lot of what I enjoy in regards to travelling to London, attending film events, cinema viewings of new films at Cineworld, meeting celebrities, attending concerts etc., I haven’t travelled outside of my county since March this year.
I am hoping the film Jack is in, with Dwayne ‘the rock’ Johnson goes ahead on the rescheduled date of July 2021, so I can see Jack again; otherwise it will be a while until I do get to meet and see him again.

Jack Whitehall is one of the only people I enjoy meeting time and time again, he is always lovely and polite and is such a joy to meet every time I see him. I cannot wait to see him again (whenever that will be).
