The story of Michael Myers continues in this film, as he pursues Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in the next chapter of the thrilling Halloween series, determined to eliminate anyone in his path.
If you have seen the previous Halloween films, from the first one, which initially released in 1978, and have been following the movie series since, then it will come as no surprise to know that The Shape, also known as Michael Myers, is still being hunted by the town he terrorized. He still is going on ritual slash/murder trips.
This film is very graphic and intense. I saw the older Halloween films a few years ago and recapped them again a few days ago before watching this latest film. I must say, as much as I enjoy some drama and some gore in a movie, this was very graphic, but that’s okay, I was expecting it – at the end of the day its a Halloween film, about a masked guy who can never seem to die and is hell bent on trying to kill his sister Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis).
After reading reviews and engaging in in-depth discussions about this film, the story behind The Shape, and potentially what Halloween Ends will be like, I believe it is impossible to kill him, and that it must be some sort of curse from his childhood, but who knows…
I won’t mention much about this film, as I’m unsure who has seen it and who hasn’t. If you have seen it, I’d love to hear your views on it. Did you enjoy it? What are your opinions on the next film, considering the ending was rather sudden?
This film was good overall and had me on edge until the very end, where I felt I could breathe again. It was on that level of intensity that I enjoyed it.
I rate this film 4.5 stars
