Day 18 of the Netflix October Horror Calendar and having seen this once already, I have already written a review which is found at https://roomforareviewcom.wordpress.com/2021/11/14/midsommar-2019/?theme_preview=true&iframe=true&frame-nonce=326d6adc23, I can confirm this film still sits with me as one of the most uncomfortable films I have watched recently.
Story summary:
Dani and Christian, played by Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor, are a young American couple with their relationship on the edge of collapse. After a grievance rocks Dani’s family, Christian invites her along with his friends on a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village which soon turns unnerving and disturbing!
I still sit with what I have originally written on my review, provided above on a link, and still deserves 5 star rating.
Anyone who is yet to watch this, I highly recommend, it is definitely up there in one of the most disturbing films I have watched.
