Dani and Christian, played by Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor, are a young American couple with their relationship on the edge of collapse, but after a grievance rocks Dani’s family, Christian invites her along with his friends on a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village which soon turns unnerving and disturbing!

Seeing this on Netflix and having it in my list for a while, I had a few colleagues at work mention this film and suggested I should watch it, as “it is disturbingly good”.. And as I have seen Florence in a few other films such as Malevolent and Black Widow, this was one I was most disturbed by, and Florence played her character in this film VERY WELL.

This film is very deeply disturbing and traumatic movie, and I finished this movie feeling rather shocked at how bizarre it is. Midsommar is definitely not for everyone, I enjoyed it, but it is a very dark and disturbing movie indeed. However, the filming of this movie is done very well, and has some very intrusive nudity and gory scenes, which added to the disturbing feels of the film for the audience.

I recommend this film, for anyone who wants to watch this but note this is VERY DARK and VERY DISTURBING, so approach with caution with this film!! Take a look at the trailer below, it is currently available to stream on Netflix for FREE or rent on Amazon Prime Video;
