Saved By The Bell Reboot: Renewed for Season 2!

Saved By The Bell Reboot has been renewed for season 2 by Peacock TV, it was announced today via Deadline.com.

Peacock TV, which is an online streaming service in America has renewed for 10 episodes for the new season after such good reviews by viewers old (who grew up watching the original Saved By The Bell show) and new fans too!

Writer and executive producer Tracey Wigfield, for the show, has said; “I’m thrilled that Saved By the Bell has been renewed. I’ve been blown away by all the love for the show and can’t wait to go back and make more episodes. Hopefully we will stay on Peacock for many more seasons, and then in 30 years, somebody does a reboot of our reboot and invents the threeboot.ā€

For those are you who are not sure what show this is, or never grew up watching the show, the reboot series of Saved By The Bell is about Zack Morris (who was popular in the original series) is governor of California and ends up in a bit of a pickle when he closes too many underfunded high schools, but proposes he sends the children most affected by this to the most well-funded schools in the state, including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can’t be solved in 22 minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez star in the new series, reprising their roles as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater.

John Michael Higgins also stars as Principal Toddman alongside the new class featuring Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-PeƱa, Josie Totah and Haskiri Velazquez.

Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming has said; “ā€œSaved By the Bell brought a fresh and modern take to the beloved original series that resonated with viewers of all ages, Season 1 tackled topical, relevant issues with wit, heart, humor and just the right amount of nostalgia. And we look forward to bringing fans back to Bayside next season.ā€

So, who has watched Season 1? If you have, then I hope you can agree with me it was a good reboot, and I for one am excited for season 2!!!
