What I Watched in December 2020.

Never Have I Ever; Netflix, 2020.

Official Netflix Trailer; Never Have I Ever, via Netflix on YouTube.Com

This show is popular on Netflix, and I have seen this series a few times since it’s release to Netflix in April 2020 and watched this again during December.

The story surrounds the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl who is going through teenage struggles, trying to cope with the loss of her father, trying to keep her family happy with their religious beliefs, as-well-as chasing a boy from her school named Paxton, of whom she wants to have sex with.

This show is narrated by John McEnroe, which makes it even better.

A must-see TV series on Netflix, it is very funny and a great, easy watch.

Starring:

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, Poorna Jannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, Benjamin Norris, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Adam Shapiro, Niecy Nash

Created by: Lang Fisher & Mindy Kaling.

The Crown; Netflix.

The Crown started in 2016 on Netflix, based on History of the Royal Family which follows the romance and political rivalries of Queen Elizabeth 2nd’s reign as the current Queen of England and events which shaped the second half of the 20th century, including presidency of Winston Churchill, the marriage of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, and the most recent series (series 4) with Princess Diana, and the events surrounding the marriage.

I am yet to watch the latest series, I have just started watching this show from season one, and currently, when writing this, on Episode 9 of season one.

Created by: Peter Morgan.

Saturday Night Live, Online.

This is a comedy sketch show shown every Saturday Night Live in New York, and has been long running since 1975.

I have recently discovered this sketch show through a friend, and by watching random clips online on YouTube. The show, every week, has a new celebrity host for the show who get involved in the parodies and sketches.

If you have not watched this, I highly recommend watching clips on YouTube, as they are funny and will make you laugh out loud. My favourite bit of the show is always the “weekend update” hosted, currently, by Colin Jost and Michael Che.

The creator of this show is: Lorne Michaels.

The latest series, which is also the one I have watched full, is series 46, with celebrity hosts of Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Issy Rae, Adele, John Mulaney, Dave Chappelle, Jason Bateman, Timothee Chalamet, and the last week before Christmas had the host of Kristen Wiig .

BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY BOXSET; SKY TV

Directed by: Robert Zemeckis

Written by: Robert Zemeckis & Bob Gale

Starring: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, Thomas F. Wilson, Claudia Wells.

These films are my favourite to watch, and despite owning the films on DVD, as I had been given a limited edition steel-book 4k DVD set for Christmas, I still enjoy watching these films when they are shown on TV.

For those who do not know about these films, and if you don’t I honestly have no idea how you wouldn’t as they are classic Sci-Fi films, the story is about a 17-year-old named Marty McFly who is friends with a Scientist named Doc Brown who has created time travel.

The first film; Back to The Future, is about Marty ending up in 1955 and meets his parents from when they were his age, and he helps his father become more confident and helps to keep his and his brothers existence in 1985.

The second film; Back To The Future part 2, is where Doc Brown takes both Marty and his girlfriend Jennifer to the future to 2015, where Marty is warned about his kids in the future and something needs to be done about them.

The third and final film; Back To The Future part 3, is where Marty heads back through the ages, back to the Old West era to rescue Doc Brown.

I love watching these films, and I also celebrated the day Marty and Doc Brown visited us in 2015, I spent the day watching the film and celebrating online with many other BTTF Fans.

Christmas Films.

The rest of my December surrounded a lot of Christmas shows/films. I have watched a few Christmas films during this month, so please refer to my post of “My Favourite Films To Watch” at Christmas Time” within the blog section of my page to find what I have been watching over December, in addition to these shows featured in this blog post.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday, and have a fantastic New Year night. Remember – Stay Safe, especially at this unprecedented time in the world! See you all in 2021.
